Blue-Day 25

In northern New Mexico, windows are blue. The tradition started with Spanish settlers. They believed blue kept evil away.

I call this rock cottage my dream house. We pass it on our way up the mountain every year. I don’t know who owns it. Maybe someday, I will.

The restaurant is in the lobby of La Fonda. Santa Fe was founded in 1607. Since then, an inn or fonda has been on this corner.  Could these windows be a portal for time travel?

White adobe is almost sacrilege in a city so brown. Maybe, the owners thought they could cancel the bad juju with blue trim.

The little window on the left worries me. Would the devil use a side entrance?

  1. You’ve touched on an area I’ve always wanted to explore. We did a quick drive-through one time, sadly pushed for time. Always hoped to make it back again. Maybe someday…
