For the next thirty days, I’ll be participating in #BlogFlash2012. The guidelines are simple. In thirty days write thirty posts on a one word prompt. Today’s prompt? Thinking. As in, What was I thinking? My first day back from a self-imposed hiatus, and I’m over-scheduled. Shaky palms. Stomach queeze. Sweat. People are going to read this.
Precisely.
I took the challenge because I need to stop thinking and just do.

That is the best advice I could of ever read. Stop thinking and just do it. Thanks

I love using one-word prompts to get my brain going (it is the whole basis for my blog and the book 365 Things to Write About)! They have definitely helped me to write more regularly…prior to using them as a writing exercise every day (or almost every day), I was having a lot of trouble with following through on the ideas in my head, and as a result, I struggled to connect words on the page when I actually forced myself to sit and attempt writing. Keep up the challenge – I bet you’ll find a breakthrough point and words will start flooding out faster than you can write them down. 🙂
