Noxious Evils

Cedar Fever

If you live in San Antonio or Austin, you understand the title. If you don’t, consider yourself lucky. The juniperus ashei tree, commonly called Mountain Cedar is in full season, and it makes me sick. It’s one of the only trees that shoots pollen in the winter. The sky is deceivingly beautiful, clear and bright, but the air is poison. After a few minutes outside, my skin itches and I want to scratch my own eyes out.

No allergy remedy helps and life is out of focus until Valentines Day. Pray for rain.

  1. I saw something on the news about a woman who’s made an oil that’s essence of cedar. You put it on your pulse points and it supposedly works-she guarantees it or your money back.
