Remember the stack of books from earlier in the week? I listed each book’s pros and cons on my white board and checked for similarities. Here are the positive things they had in common:
- Short chapters averaging between six and ten pages
- All of the books had humor, but my favorites used all types of comedy–cerebral analogies, slapstick, wordplay, unlikely combinations. Something for everyone.
- Social relevance
- Bite. And not the kind that comes with a vampire novel.
The negatives were all over the place. Nothing carried over from book to book.
