Somewhere between Lafayette, LA and Mobile, AL, our trailer tag hitched a ride with someone else. I called the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Their recording didn’t give me an option for license plate theft. Out of state. On a thirty-six year old vehicle. I didn’t even know the number until I found this photo in all those snapshots I took last fall.
The number is distorted for the internet, but I’m carrying a clear copy on my phone. Got to love the digital age. The Texas DMV should make all plates digital.
