Reading List

Reading list

I’m reading, cramming as many contemporary satirical novels in my brain as possible. Studying their similarities and differences is this week’s work, along with trying to figure out exactly where my little book fits in the big scheme of things.

Here’s my list:

  • This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper
  • Boomsday by Christoper Buckley
  • Moo by Jane Smiley
  • The Abstinence Teacher by Tom Perrotta
  • Coyote Blue by Christopher Moore
  • Strip Tease by Carl Hiaasen

In a few days when I come up for air, I’ll let you know what I’ve learned from immersion.

  1. I’ll be interested in the results of your immersion. The human that belongs to me gets immersed in reading a lot. Particularly when he’s doing research for his HN’s. He gets what he calls “into it.” I once tried getting immersed in the books he’s reading, but I don’t feel anything except pages and covers. Didn’t make him or the library very happy.

  2. Oh Dear! I wonder what Lilly, the dove eating schnauzer, would have to say about my book addiction.

    Thanks for checking in, Sandy.
